What is this book about ?
What
is a failed Dystopian Experience one can have?
- Any system where businessmen or farmers commit suicide of not getting timely loans from the bank or go bankrupt and rich millionaires escape from the country looting the banks and no one is bothered.
- Any system where a file of an administrative nature moves ahead in a government department only after paying bribes. The complaints of administrative issues are ignored and people keep suffering despite paying heavy taxes the officials ignore their complaints of providing basic facilities of water, sanitation, roads, security, and functioning.
- In any system where the common person is denied basic health facilities, he dies on the road or on a dirty bed in a government hospital.
- Any system where people are kept busy fighting with each other on any pretext i.e. religion, case, language, and even the name of the country
- Any system that fails to recognize an opposition and crush any opposing voices to participate in a healthy democratic election. Elections are not fought on social issues but on religion and ideologies that snuff out the basic rights of people.
- Any system that sees law enforcement agencies ignoring crimes of well-connected and is used to crush dissent voices in fabricated false cases.
- Any system that fails to lodge a proper FIR of common people as victims against powerful connected criminals, in fact in many cases the cops turn the victim into accused by lodging a counter case in turn for bribes
- Any system where a public prosecutor takes bribes turns witnesses or evidence into favorable ones for the accused and denies justice.
- Any system where few judges compromise on post-retirement benefits and Defense lawyers / investigative agency heads bury their conscience to help wash off evidence against real culprits in riot cases and allow them to become powerful minsters with many dead still not gotten justice
- In any system where education is so costly even basic primary and later in life in competitive exams if they don’t make it, kids commit suicide, they think there are no avenues for them elsewhere.
- Any system where people die due to ill-preparedness of a vaccine war and priorities are on visiting foreign dignitaries rather than arranging a basic facility of oxygen for the people to survive. We saw the misery of people and migrants in the last two episodes of vaccines and people's callous attitude to glorify this tragedy as a great achievement when everyone finally worked up to prepare for vaccines.
- Any system where social and news media are calling the shots on how to change the DNA and ideologies of the people and make them forget the basic shrines of the constitution on how this country was formed.
- Any system where people become so heartless and have double standards that they will ignore crimes of people of their favorite political ideologies as a just cause but will flood social media on dead leaders and fake stories blaming them for everything
- Our country like many countries in the world is undergoing an era of change with power struggle and breaking of the old ethos of liberalism democracy and instead nationalist-populist majoritarianism democracy taking over.
- We are also seeing every day, not only the political leaders of various ideologies who are battling with each other, but institutions that have sworn to protect the people and stand by the Constitution are also facing testing times.
- The judiciary is also under tremendous pressure to protect the basic rights of the poor or tribals or even the common person.
- It is a struggle now to avoid our minds getting corrupted or influenced by communal, divisive racial and religion or caste or state or political ideology. Relationships have become fragile and are being dictated by loyalties to politicians with division among friends and organization colleagues now more rampant.
- These are surely tough times for all of us in terms of the chaotic economic recession and post-COVID-19. Many businesses have crashed and job losses are mounting every day. Commoners are struggling every day for survival and the powerful rich politicians and businessmen are hosting cultural festivals on any pretext with the aim of false propaganda.
- To be honest, pathetic leadership in the institution is mainly responsible for all chaos, corruption, and communalism.
- I shall be honest, this book has been written out of total anger, anguish, and pain on seeing the fall of leadership standards in Politics, IAS, IPS, Armed Forces, media, and corporations in the last decades or so. The disheartening aspect has been that the murderers, financial fraudsters, liars, and fixers, have not only occupied powerful positions but now it is a standard norm of what a leader can be with zero accountability.
- On the other hand, social media has been extensively used to tarnish the real genuine leaders of the past who got our freedom. The judiciary is also often blamed, but the fact is these people control the investigative and legal fraternity to get away. That is why none of the top ruling politicians, Armed Forces or IAS or IPS officers or even corporate honchos or movie stars involved in fraudulent financial scams riot lynching, or serious crimes have seen the inside of a jail, but have become powerful day by day. Those who are caught still enjoy the prison as a 5-star. There is a total breakdown of fair and transparent working due to the erosion of leadership across many institutions in the country.
Now why is this happening?
But what about
Individual leadership? All chaos, corruption, and communalism, can be stopped by officials?
So what do we do?
There are two choices, either
all of us ignore and live with it, or at least start pondering over it, hoping
sane people will correct it within their area of influence. Even a student can
videotape a corrupt traffic policeman to a whistle-blower in bank scams to get
some sense and sensibilities in the system. We hear many such stories, make one
yours deal with these people.
Like Anne Frank said ‘ I can
shake off everything as I write, my sorrows disappear, and my courage is
reborn.”
For me, writing is healing and
catharsis for my soul to seek some solace against injustice due to corruption,
poverty, abuse of power, religious discrimination, racism, or social standing.
I have hence explored the depth of my heart with a lot of passion and
conviction to think why wrong or right was done and then call a wrong a wrong
and a reason a right. I have covered the good the bad and the ugly in the Armed
Forces, IAS, IPS and corporate, and of course, the politician class in whose
hands the destiny of this country lies.
How can I also ignore the
leadership of tainted TV and News 4 media Channels and how they have mastered the
art of doctoring the news for false image building. I now fully believe that
condemnation of bad leadership needs to be done and not the institutions but
unfortunately the institutions' names have now become synonymous with these bad leaders' actions. Readers may find me blunt, and shocking, but it is my angst that wants me to write and speak the truth
So what is this book about!
It is about great Extreme leadership by a few Bravehearts
- This book is also not a memoir, but it is something I was affected by such bad leaders failing due to corruption and lack of a straight spine. It angered me that these people had reduced the system's helpless and sane truth voice being snuffed out. All of us are becoming a victim of the actions of a corrupt Municipal Commissioner eating away our development funds a General taking bribes on substandard war equipment to a politician inciting hate and lynching innocents.
- I remember a quote; you own everything that happened to you, if people wanted you to write warmly about them they should have behaved better - Anne Lammot:
- So this book is also about these good people and the leadership they displayed. I must also clarify that when I was writing this book, I was not attaching myself to any organization or community except I have written this book as an Indian and the leadership I want to see, aspire to grow with, and want to be.
- I have served with these great people in the Armed Forces and the Corporate world and also heard similar stories in IAS and IPS the stuff which we dreamed of what kind of leaders we want to be.
- They have often been labeled as misunderstood leaders due to their strictness die-hard honesty and commitment. They, however, stood out from the usual corrupt crowd and made a difference.
- This book is more about them to inspire all readers. The new generation of leaders getting trained in MBA, or teaching academies of IAS, IPS, or Armed, forces are requested not to follow the lousy routine leaders but follow somebody good who has become a rare commodity. You will read about them in this book.
- It gives me hope and happiness when I read about a brave police Sikh officer taking on a mob to prevent the lynching of a Muslim and Hindu couple.
- It gives me a pride feeling on an officer of the Indian Army risking his life against terrorists.
- It gives me security when an IAS lady officer is taking on a politician or a young lady lawyer taking on a rapist of a child without much support from powerful administration.
- There have been many such good inspiring stories I have also shared on these unsung heroes in their fight against wrongdoing, and I hope my book does justice to them and they are remembered by readers to inspire them. My such good characters in real-life stories surmounted many obstacles of nepotism, favoritism, and witch-hunting in their life to come out as the real winners as a leader.
- The shining light in these tough times there are many untold stories of brave hearts standing up to all such chaos, corruption, and communal divide agendas. Many of these brave hearts have also sacrificed their lives and liberty.
- Among these brave hearts, there are many honest police officers and IAS or other government officers apart from common people who are battling against unfavorable circumstances that have been set up by the nexus of crooked politicians and criminals resulting in a failed system of chaos, corruption, and communalism. These brave hearts have upheld the rights of the public and the common man.
- This book will be about them how they have woken up from slumber and stood up to help the world when people needed them and everything else failed. This book is to share the true stories of such brave hearts, the good people fighting out against dire circumstances. These good people have struggled to lift the oppressed out of despair or solve an issue themselves, that the system failed to implement. These brave hearts will be a beacon of light and hope to many others in the coming years to get up and stand up and make this country and world a progressive safe place.
Dash Avatars
Every day or in the past, there are many such stories of common people who took new Avatars to rise to the occasion. This book is about these ten kinds of Avatars.
I wish to highlight these leaders that evolved my definition of leadership which is also a mix of many Avatars, and that is why I have divided my chapters on these ten avatars from my own life experiences. I hope after reading this book, people will identify themselves with the bad situations they had been, get inspired by leaders in this book get healed, and lift themselves.
I hope my this book will bring in some boldness and daring guts to young IAS, IPS, and Officers of the Indian Army during training.
This book will hence give the new generation of leaders the hope that they can be the last ones still standing in a chaotic corrupt and communally divided world if they ever face a situation of no compromise.
Lastly, I have no
affiliation with any political party or any religion or ideology. I
only stand for my readers who are the common man or woman struggling to
fulfilling their dreams in a c I hope after reading this book, people
will identify themselves with the bad situations they had been in, will get
inspired by leaders in this book and get healed and lift themselves. After this
book, I hope readers will not end their own life stories as victims of bad
leaders and rise to become one of the Avatars to take on the failing system and
improve for the future of our generations.
After this book, I hope readers will not end their own life stories as victims of bad leaders and rise to become one of the Avatars to take on the failing system and improve for the future of our generations.
Happy reading!
